NeurOp Awarded Deal of the Year for Ischemia Program Funding

NeurOp, Inc. was recognized by Georgia Bio with a Deal of the Year Award for its $3 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Health to support its research program for ischemia. Announced in July 2011, NeurOp will use the funding to advance its lead molecule to an Investigational New Drug (IND) filing for the treatment of subarachnoid hemorrhage and those patients at risk of stroke.

The Georgia Bio awards ceremony recognizes transactions by Georgia-based companies that are significant to the development of the state’s life sciences industry. The winners received their awards on January 26, 2012 at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre.
